Mahurangi East Library service updates due to renovations

We're pleased to announce upcoming renovations at Mahurangi East Library, starting Saturday 6 April 2024 . To create an even better space for you to explore and enjoy, the library building will be closed and replacement services will be available in a new Portacom building after Sunday 14 April (no returns or pick ups during this initial week, please). Service replacement Don't worry! We'll still be here to serve you in a new Portacom building, offering a curated selection of your favourite reads.  From Monday 15 April , the temporary library will be situated in the Mahurangi East Tennis Club carpark at Goodall Reserve: 296 Mahurangi East Road, Snells Beach . The temporary library will operate on:  Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Our mobile library and access services are changing!

For some time, we've been working on how to expand our regional mobile library and access services to be able to reach more Aucklanders, more often. We're pleased to announce that our expansion plans have now been approved by Auckland Council's Environment and Community Committee and we will be rolling out the following changes in the coming months. Increasing our current team of staff members and creating new roles.
