Mahurangi East Library service updates due to renovations

We're pleased to announce upcoming renovations at Mahurangi East Library, starting Saturday 6 April 2024. To create an even better space for you to explore and enjoy, the library building will be closed and replacement services will be available in our Mobile Library bus after Sunday 14 April (no returns or pick ups during this initial week, please).

Service replacement

Don't worry! We'll still be here to serve you with a temporary Mobile Library bus offering a curated selection of your favourite reads. From Monday 15 April, the bus will be parked at the Mahurangi East Tennis Club carpark at Goodall Reserve: 296 Mahurangi East Road, Snells Beach.

The Mobile Library bus will operate at our regular hours: 

  • Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 1pm.

We expect the Mobile Library to be available for until further notice, while we finalise plans for alternative services during the later stages of construction. 

During this time, you'll be able to enjoy essential library services on board, including:

  • returning borrowed items
  • picking up holds you've requested
  • browsing and checking out new materials

While the bus won't have computer access, WiFi, scanning or printing capabilities, these services will still be available at Warkworth Library and Wellsford Library. 

We'll keep you updated on alternative services planned for the later stages of refurbishment work. We are excited to unveil the refreshed library space! Stay tuned for further updates and exciting details. In the meantime, happy reading from the Mobile Library!
