Choose from a selection of prepacked Ready-to-Go Reads book packs during your visit, or visit our website to order a pack online. We’ll send you an email when your Ready-to-Go Reads book pack is ready to collect from your local library.

Don't want a lucky dip? You can still browse our catalogue and place a request if you're wanting a particular read. Read on for how to click and collect a request.

Click and collect

Place a request for the hottest new blockbuster or the upcoming book in your favourite series to ensure your place in the reading queue!
  1. Just search our library catalogue and click the Request button next to the title you want. All you need is your library membership barcode and PIN to place a request online.
  2. Select your local library as a pick-up location – or perhaps the location closest to your work or the kids’ school for convenient pick-ups.
Some libraries also have express pick-up lanes to make your trip as efficient as possible.

Once your item arrives at your chosen location you have 7 days to pick it up before it moves on to the next customer. You can also request DVDs, Blu-Ray, magazines, video games and more!

Speedy returns

Many of our libraries have handy overnight slots and return slots close to the entrance of the library, making returning items on time quick and convenient.

You can return your items to any Auckland Libraries location, no matter where you borrowed them!

Just drop them off, and we’ll take care of getting them where they need to be.
